Choose what works for you.
- Take one thing at a time.
- Turn off everything distracting if possible.
- Turn off TV.
- If you like to listen some music, it’s better not to listen music with lyrics.
- If you have to stop learning, write down where you finished.
- Work on you concentration. It’s not one time thing, creating a habit take some time.
- Take it by small steps. Try to concentrate for 10 minutes at the beginning. Then add 5 minutes and so on.
- Try different times of the day for learning. For some people it’s better in the morning or in the night etc.
- Reciting aloud can help.
- Think about why you learn and good job that you can get.
- Inversely you can think about bad jobs that you would have go to if you won’t learn.
- Plan your free time and tell yourself that you will try to concentrate completely until then.
- Exercise. Don’t have to go to fitness, 10-20 minutes can sometimes be very good for your concentration.
- You can try binaural beats and other similar tones or music. Youtube is full of thins things.
- Nature sounds are good for some people to improve concentration.
- Try to use highlighters.
- Drink tea. Green is good for concentration.
- Clean your room.
- Use short notes, but write them yourself.
- Clear your mind. Try to put stress away, solve your problems. This can be long term.
- Try Keyword Technique. Choose a word of your subject, and when you lose concentration repeat the word several times.
- Being in the NOW -- the present moment. Not thinking about the past or the future. Just the now.
- 5 more rule. From now on, if you're in the middle of a task and tempted to give up -- just do FIVE MORE. Read FIVE MORE pages. Finish FIVE MORE math problems. Work FIVE MORE minutes.
- Whenever doing important work, use a concentration scoresheet. Each time you find your mind wandering, make a check mark on the sheet.
- Break task into smaller parts.
